Leaving Poverty

Leaving Poverty

Have you ever looked at your life and said, “My life was not supposed to look like this”?  If you have lived very long, you realize that life does have surprises and sometimes those surprises can be hard to live with. Parents never envision their child growing up and becoming involved in gangs and drugs, but there are many that do become involved and those gang members are someone’s children. People get married and expect to live a happy life, but life becomes hard and divorce changes their lives forever. There are those that are not married and never planned living life without someone by their side. Everything seems to be wrong with this picture called life.

People are on a search for life-changing solutions. Many have put a lot of money into the effort. Actually, if you belong to the Lord you have within you keys for many of the solutions you are searching for. Are you ready to live life from a new script? If you say yes, then start with these keys that you already have.

Living from abundance

At times you hear a voice that says, “Your life will never change for the better.” Apostle Chuck Pierce calls this the poverty spirit. This voice belongs to the accuser and his name is Satan. The Bible says in Rev.12:10 that he accuses you and me before God day and night. This only becomes a problem when you agree with his accusation and you believe a lie.

Jesus has a voice over your life too, but it never speaks of poverty. Jesus said “I have come to give you life and life more abundantly.” You have a right to draw from this abundance that Jesus gives you. If you don’t draw from His life you will draw from something else. You can choose to live from an abundant place or a place of poverty. Choose life.

Living from victory

Jesus has paid a price for you to live from His victory.  Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”  It does not matter what you are feeling at this very moment or what your tribulation looks like. It is completely dependant upon Jesus that you have His victory inside you now. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith” (1 Jn.5:4).

Feeling like a victim does not make you one. That is a lie and if you agree with the lie, you will live your life from past trauma and hurt instead of who Jesus says you are. You must hold to the position Jesus gave you - the position of a victor. A victor is a winner; triumphant, an overcomer in life.  A victor views their life full of the power and purposes of God.
2 Cor. 4:7-10 promises, “We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”

Living from thankfulness

Look at how you respond to situations in life.  Your mouth will give it away. Heart issues will come forth from your mouth just like a waterfall pours forth from a mountain side - you can’t stop it. The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” As you live from a place of thankfulness it becomes natural to respond to all things in life with a thankful heart. If you find there are no thankful words regularly flowing from your mouth, then make a change. Don’t wait for your heart to be thankful first. Sometimes you have to start with your mouth first. As you speak forth praise when you want to curse, it will be a reminder of the change your heart is making.

You may say you don’t know what I’ve been through. I don’t know, but Jesus does. This is about your life with Jesus and how to have solutions to the hard stuff you are dealing with. The Lord is the maker of men’s hearts and He knows that thankfulness is the key to life. The Bible says, “In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” God says it so that’s good enough for me.

It is time to behave your way into a new way of thinking in order for these keys to work for you. Just start doing it. This is where you begin to write a new script for your life. Your life has to look different now, not tomorrow. Live from abundance, victory and thankfulness and see the strength of the Lord moving you into a new place. Your responses to challenges in life will be a light to others around you.

As you work these keys you will receive empowerment to live at a higher level than you ever imagined. All of heaven’s resources will be drawn to your life. Your life will attract favor, revelation, insight, wisdom, divine connections and so much more. Isn’t it time you start living again?
